November 30 - Charlie is 3 months old!
This past month has been very busy!
- Charlie smiles more and more and even laughs a bit.
- He will stick his tongue out at you!
- When he is hungry he finds his fist and puts it to his mouth.
- He is beginning to eat more and sleep more at night, but still gets up once.
- Loves getting his "wiggle time" on the activity mat.
- Still not a huge fan of tummy time but does great at it all the same.
- He moved to his room! He is sleeping great in his crib in the room next to Christopher.
- We hosted the Bacala Thanksgiving and he enjoyed spending time with his family!
- Mom and Dad have had several nights out so he has had some babysitters: Lollie, Jill, Melissa and our favorite teacher from "school" Mona!
- Speaking of "school," Charlie started daycare at Dealey and is doing great. He is in the same room with the same teachers that Christopher had. Sure does make Mom feel better!
October 30 - Charlie is 2 months old
2 months old and time is flying! I realized after I made the sign and took the pictures that I put the wrong weight on Charlie's sign! He actually weighs 11 lbs at 2 months old. Our little chunky monkey! He's doing great.
- We had a wonderful visit with Leslie, Danny, Hanna and Maddie. They came in October and had a wonderful time meeting Charlie and playing with Christopher. We went to the State Fair (shocker!) and to the Dallas Arboretum. I was even able to slide away and get my hair cut one day.
- Charlie continues to eat and sleep great.
- He is sleeping in our room in his bassinet.
- We had lots of lunches out with friends this month.
- Toward the end of October he began smiling at us! There is nothing better!
- He is more active and spends some time on his activity mat each day.
- He enjoys getting out for a stroll.
- His neck is very strong and he is moving it around more and more.
September 30 - Charlie is one month old!
Sweet Charlie. One month old! He is such a joyful addition to our family. He had a busy first month. We enjoyed a long Labor Day weekend at home with several visitors as we settled in. Here are some of our highlights:
- Charlie was born at Parkland where Mommy works. They took great care of both mom and baby.
- He lost just over a pound right off the bat so we worked hard that first weekend to feed, feed, feed. We even made a couple of trips to the doctor's office to get Charlie weighed. Our hard work paid off as you can see from these pictures! :-) He gained that pound back and more!
- He had his first bath.
- Brown welcomed him with open paws...he seemed pretty unaffected by our new family member.
- We ran lots of errands and ate meals out.
- He is pretty predictable with his sleeping and eating. Pretty much from the beginning he would get up just once at night to eat.
- We ventured out to opening day of the State Fair.
2011 State Fair of Texas
We enjoyed another State Fair season. We made several trips and enjoyed each one. Chris' exhibit won second place and once again looked spectacular. Christopher enjoyed it so much this year and little Charlie was just along for the ride at just a few weeks old. Christopher was old enough to ride some of the rides - and did better when Dad was along with him, he and Maddie went through the Little Hands on the Farm and had a ball and he wrapped it up by a little time on the midway.
7 weeks old and Charlie loves the Fair already!
Polishing off his favorite chicken!
