My dear friend Tameka came over and brought her new son, Jaxon, who is about 6 weeks old. The boys had a fun time meeting...then they both ate and fell asleep!

We met Dad for dinner at El Fenix in Dallas last week - quite appropriate considering the Dowd Family LOVES El Fenix and I spent many nights there growing up.

Bumbo time!

Today we tried out the Bumbo seat for the first time. Christopher likes it!

4 months old!

Here we are at 4 months old already. I feel like we are in our "new groove" of better sleeping and staying on schedule - both baby and parents! About a week ago Christopher gave up his late night feeding. Chris went into his room to feed him one night and he wouldn't eat...he was much more in the mood to sleep. We tried again the next night and he only ate a little bit. And since them we have let him be. He mostly sleeps from about 7:00pm - 7:00am, give or take. Wow!


He is such a funny little guy. He always has us laughing. At school they say he "spreads smiles" all day long. He weighs 12 lbs, 13 ozs and is 25 inches long. He is a bit on the small size (weight) for his age but he is long. Can you imagine - he has grown 7 inches in 4 months?! That simply amazes me.

Here are some of his milestones the last month:

• he has started going to the nursery at church


• he laughs a ton
  
• talking is his new favorite thing - he seems to be real chatty in the mornings on the way to school


• he has started to play with his feet


• he is very entertained in the mornings looking at all sorts of things from his crib


• his hair is coming in more and it is light colored!


• he can roll onto his side all by himself


• he sits up with some support from us

Easter!

We had a great Easter weekend. Christopher was baptized on Saturday, April 3. Chris' parents were in town and my parents and Byron and Jill joined us for the celebration. We had a sneak peek at the new house, enjoyed some time back at Sudbury after the baptism and had a wonderful afternoon catching up with everyone. It looked like a pastel Christmas around here - he had so many fun Easter baskets!

Spring Fling

Christopher had his first party at school. We had a 'spring fling' in his classroom and all the babies exchanged Easter baskets. Very cute. We all had a good time and we enjoyed visiting with the other parents.
