January 30 - Charlie is 5 months old

January brought a lot of change in our home. My last day working at Parkland was January 6. I have thoroughly enjoyed a slower pace - especially in the morning - and having a lot of fun time with both boys. Charlie is just exploding with new tricks all the time. He was sick for a couple of weeks this month but has rallied.

  • His sleeping has certainly adjusted and settled in to about 6:30pm - 7:30am or so. He still eats late and early (5:30am or so) but that is starting to shift as well and I bet before long he's stretching out those eating times as well.
  • He likes to catnap during the day and gets 2 or 3 naps in.
  • Charlie is rolling over! Slow at first and he's picking up steam.
  • He's gaining more and more control with his neck and can sit up in the bumbo for longer periods of time.
  • We had a great road trip to Louisiana for New Year's. He was a super traveler!
  • His hair is coming in more and more and is a very light brown.
  • Lucky dog has kept those long, gorgeous eyelashes and those blue eyes just make them pop out!

Christopher's 2nd birthday Elmo style

Happy 2nd Birthday Christopher!

We love you buddy! We celebrated your birthday a bit early while we had all of our family together. What a treat to have all your grandparents together. You make us laugh and smile every single day and bring us so much joy.

Thanksgiving 2011

We had another wonderful Thanksgiving. We hosted the Bacala family and had a blast! Lots of talking, laughing, catching up, eating and drinking. What an amazing gift of time with family. We are blessed.

Chris and Scott prepping the birds...yummy.

Just a guess, but my hands are gonna be full...

December 30 - Charlie is 4 months old!

The month of December was busy for our family and ended with Charlie turning 4 months old!

  • I started back to work and Charlie was a champ rolling with the punches.
  • And by the end of the month I had resigned from my position at Parkland!
  • Charlie is more and more smiley.
  • He loves his crib and is sleeping great in it.
  • We celebrated a wonderful Christmas at our house with the Chaddick family and Charlie was the star - and Santa was very good to him as well!
  • He is getting more on a schedule with eating and sleeping and that makes us all happy.
  • He's been working on his tummy time and his neck and back are getting stronger and stronger.
  • He had his 4 month check up and is doing great. He weighs 13 lbs, 12.5 ozs. - closing in on 14 lbs!
  • He laughs at Christopher when he dances around and entertains him.
  • One of his favorite places to be is still laying on his daddy's chest for a nap.
