Merry Christmas from the Bacalas
1st Birthday - December 12, 2010
Everyone told me the first year would fly by, but I don't think it's something I really understood until I looked up and it had happened. Really? A year already.
What a fun year it has been. This time last year we were approaching a white Christmas, Christopher got to meet all his Dowd/Chaddick relatives and we hunkered down to survive the snow of early 2010. And now he is turning into a toddler...
- He's a mover and shaker all over the place. He's still army crawling and has recently started to pull up onto his knees. He can pull up on the staircase and can maneuver up and down the stairs in the gameroom.
- 18 lbs. and 28 1/2 inches long
- There is still a mutual lovefest between Christopher and Brown.
- He is eating better - we have introduced new foods. Some of his favorites are squash, apples and peas. And he can play with a cheerio like you've never seen.
- He is still on the low end of the growth charts but is healthy as a horse. We've determined he is independent like his parents and will do things in his own time!
- He still has just his top two and bottom two teeth and he loves to give a big grin to show them off.
- Bye-Bye and uh-oh are current favorite words. He can wave now too!
- He has started holding his own bottle and is more than happy to let you know he is in charge!
- The hair! The kiddo has a ton of hair and it gets wild at times.
- Play, play, play - he is ferocious during playtime. Sometimes even working up a sweat!
- He is a super sleeper and loves his nighttime routine.
Ho, Ho, Ho!

Christmas Tree 2010
11 months old!
The month of November has been very fun. Christopher turned 11 months old and his personality is coming out more and more. He is a funny little guy.
Some of his favorite things:
- Rolling and commando crawling EVERYWHERE. We've officially begun to baby-proof the house, as much as you can, I suppose.
- He weighs about 17 lbs.
- He has figured out how to put his pacifier into his mouth on his own.
- He has also figured out how to throw his pacifiers out of his crib!
- He is still a star sleeper. He plays hard and he sleeps hard.
- He loves Brown more and more and will roll all over him and play.
- He has a head full of hair and is actually in need of a haircut. When he gets a little sweaty is curls up a bit.
